The James Graham Brown Cancer Center at the University of Louisville hosts a Summer Research Internship Program that is open to high school sophomores, juniors and seniors in Louisville and the Jefferson Metro as well as college undergraduate students.

NANCY ALVEY: LUNG CANCER SURVIVOR

Fear was Nancy Alvey’s first reaction when she received her lung cancer diagnosis in 2005. However, the successful treatment and support she received from the Brown Cancer Center inspired her to dedicate herself to advocacy on behalf of the cancer center and Kentucky’s lung cancer patients.
