Patients & Families

You don’t have to face cancer alone. For more than 30 years the James Graham Brown Cancer Center has been helping patients and their loved ones in their fight against this disease. Our physicians have unmatched expertise diagnosing and treating all types of cancer, and our researchers continue to discover exciting new breakthroughs for its treatment and its prevention.

As such, we can offer you groundbreaking therapies along with the benefits of a team-focused care approach made up of specialized physicians, nurses and other healthcare providers. Our belief is that we must treat the whole patient, so we will offer you services that help you and your loved ones deal with the emotional side effects of cancer, too.

Among these is our new Patient Navigation Program, which will assist you throughout your cancer treatment process. This program helps you and your family find, organize and utilize the numerous resources, treatment services and support services available to ensure you receive the best care and experience possible.

Our Patient Navigator, Sandy Stevens, and trained Volunteer Navigators help you connect with any needed support such as nutritional guidance, chaplain services, counseling or social work. Our team also helps locate and direct patients to the many other services and support that may help patients, their caregivers and families deal with cancer diagnosis.
